It’s neat how God works. The people He brings into your life. The situations and experiences you go through. The trials and blessings He places in your life. It’s a beautiful story of His love for us. A year ago from today I surrendered my life to Christ. I am forever His and am full of joy! God is so incredibly good!
It’s been pretty hectic since I graduated in December. But through all these crazy days, I’ve been reminded daily that God is sovereign! I am amazed at what God has done, is doing and will do for His people and me.
After many days of confusion and fear of what my future may hold, I was reminded that God is in control. I am now working for an incredible organization called Special Kids whose mission is to serve Jesus by caring for His children. What a blessing! I’m doing what I love- designing and interacting with people, loving and caring for the most adorable children, working with incredible followers of Christ, and serving the Lord- giving Him all the glory! God is incredible!
This past summer I went on a mission trip to Jamaica and my heart was completely changed. I met some amazing friends who had little but appreciated, thanked, and loved the Lord so much. We went to love on these people and so much love was poured out on us. Many hearts were opened and lives changed, including myself. We serve a God whose love reaches the ends of the earth.
In about a month I will be traveling with a team from Northside Baptist to Romania for a medical mission trip. And in 4 months I will be traveling with another team from NBC back to Jamaica. I am so blessed for these opportunities. My heart’s desire is to reach the unreached. We live in a broken world, we face struggles and trials, heartaches and confusion but there is a God who loves us more than we can imagine and wants us to believe and trust in Him.
A year ago from today I made a decision that has changed my life and my heart is so happy. I desire to serve, honor, and glorify the Lord with all that I am. I struggle with sin and go through hard times but I am loved, forgiven and comforted by the creator of this universe! I’m undeserving of many things but He pours out His grace, mercy, and perfect love to remind me that I am a child of a sovereign God! It amazes me how neat God works!

"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us."
